And so, with great trepidation, some of us began to venture out again. Restrictions being lessened, the 5 km limit removed, it felt extraordinary to be able to leave the home.
I headed for the Werribee River, a very special place. On a Sunday morning, quiet and peaceful. Very few people, so I had the place to myself. At the Riverbend park, I could sit and listen to the ducks with not a human sound to intervene.
We are very lucky to have such nature intertwined with suburbia, and I think that on the whole, people respect that and share the gratitude.
